ExtraordinAIRy Treasures (Deadline 5/31/18)…..Fifteen (15) $1,000 ExtraordinAIRy Treasures scholarships are very unique, so please read the following and pass on the information. Williams Comfort Air created ExtraordinAIRy Treasures in 2009 to honor individuals who showcase extraordinary qualities on a daily basis giving comfort, hope, inspiration, respect, service, and love to those around them. Williams Comfort Air values education and has a great appreciation for ALL career paths in life. ALL of these careers are vital to society; and, we believe that all students should have the opportunity to receive a continuing education scholarship. This year, Williams Comfort Air will award fifteen (15) $1,000 ExtraordinAIRy Treasures scholarships. These scholarships are unique in many ways: 1. There is NO GPA requirement for these scholarships.,  2. ALL career paths are eligible., 3. The student can attend a 4-year college, 2-year college, vocational college, or a trade school., 4. The student has NO PART in applying for these scholarships., 5. Students are nominated with an essay written by a parent, teacher, counselor, neighbor, employer, etc. The essay should convey why this high school senior is an ExtraordinAIRy Treasure to our future by including an overview of the nominee’s life skills in action such as perseverance in overcoming difficult circumstances, integrity, kindness, and commitment to community to name a few. Tell us who your nominee is at heart. Williams Comfort Air Committee will select the fifteen scholarship recipients. Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest (Deadline 2/28/18)…..1. COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION. Click to enter the Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest between January 15, 2018, and February 28, 2018. Complete and save all requested information. 2. WRITE YOUR ESSAY. Choose the African-American you want to write about. It could be someone famous, a relative or a person you know. Just make sure the individual inspires and motivates you. For guidance, review the “How to Enter” instructions and the “Contest Judging Criteria” in sections 4 and 5 of the Official Rules, and be sure your essay is 500 words or less. You can write your essay directly in the application or you can copy and paste it into the appropriate area in the application form. 3. REVIEW AND SUBMIT. Review your information, check your essay for spelling and submit your entry by 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on February 28, 2018. 4. AWAIT NOTIFICATION. Winning essays are selected by an independent panel of judges who are not affiliated with Regions. Students with winning essays will be notified by International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS) in April or May 2018.
